Daymaker – n. A person who performs acts of kindness with the intention of making the world a better place.
When a client came into David Wagner’s hair salon, he had no idea that two lives were about to change forever. The woman explained, “I just want to look and feel good tonight.” The two laughed and joked throughought the appointment and when the woman left, she smiled and gave David a hug.
A few days later, David receieved a startling letter from his client. She explained that she had planned to commit suicide the day she came in and wanted to look good for her funeral, but the attention and special care David had shown her made her feel that things could get better. The encounter saved her life and forever changed David. His whole approach to life shifted when he realized the difference you can make when you intentionally serve another human being . He asked himself, why have random acts of kindness when you can have intentional acts of good will? This Question inspired him to write the book Life as a Daymaker - How to Change the World Simply by Making Someone's Day.
"Life as a Daymaker is the perfect guide to everyday living. If we all can subscribe and practice the methodologies Mr. Wagner recommends, we definitely will have a healthy, non-violent, successful present and future for our planet. It's a book that I will read on an ongoing basis."
